Don’t let your loyalty become slavery. If they don’t appreciate what you bring to the table … then let them eat alone.

Be no man’s fool.

      1. Opinions about TD vary wildly. People who consider themselves hardcore fans like the early work, like Phaedra, Ricochet, and Stratosfear. I am OK with those, but I actually like the mid to late 1980’s work better: especially Melrose, Lily on the Beach, and Optical Race. If you were to press me for an answer, I would say either Lily on the Beach or Optical Race. Do you have a preference?

      2. Later, in the 1990’s, “their” style changed again. I put “their” in quotes because the only permanent band member was Edgar Froese (although Chris Franke (Celestine Prophecy) was in for many years and so was Froese’s brother). See, also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Froese
Sadly, he passed earlier this year. He was a great talent who (among other things) did many soundtracks but his passing was barely a blip in the news. However, I am surely many fans (myself included) will miss him.

      3. TD is great. I was focused on their music for many years (as well as a few others: Vangelis, Kitaro….) and am now gradually branching out a little with more Jazz (Paul Hardcastle; Harold Budd; Peter White; others)
